UK’s Boris Johnson announced on Monday that he would end all COVID-19 restrictions in England, including self-isolation for people with COVID-19 and free testing.

Johnson′s "living with COVID" plan has triggered an alarm, with concerns raised that it is premature and the country will be vulnerable to new variants. Britain has recorded 160,00 fatalities from COVID-19, which is the seventh-highest toll in the world.

While Hong Kong is building isolation units and Europe continues to implement social distancing and vaccine rules, Johnson is lifting pandemic restrictions that infringe an individual’s freedoms, saying that it is time that people took responsibility.
